Kaladan of Norixius

Backstory

Kaladan of Clan Norixius Chaotic Neutral / Dragonborn / Merchant-Fighter

By now, you would know that his father Rivaan was a blacksmith (the best in all of the Flats if you asked Zeek) and his mother Da'ar a monk, who now leads the infirmary at JKS. His younger brother Nox, who we all knew and loved so much, sacrificed himself to save Kal from the Goliath - a tale in and of itself to be told for generations. A lesser known story, however, is that of his older sister Megren who stayed behind to study and lead at her home monastery.

How Kal got to this moment would require a few tomes to read through. We know Kal grew up as the middle child of the family, not sure where his place or purpose lied. Wandering the streets, peddling all sorts of goods and trinkets he could get his hands on. Naturally, this made both friends and enemies with every transaction. Anytime his name was spoken around the spire, he would take some time off his "business" to reconnect with his family. His mother would always know she could not completely change him, but she could certainly help guide him towards safer alternatives.

It was a normal day of scavenging the markets, when they came, and changed the course of JKS history.

The Goliath raid on Ravien was nothing unusual, but Kal was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Civilians panicked, running every which way they could, knocking into stalls and each other. Being Dragonborn, he stood out with his golden scales, catching the eye of the Juicer. A furious blow from behind knocked Kal unconscious. As he awoke, he heard the grumblings of his captors. "Keep slave, not meat. Pretty money". He could not make out who said it, or where he was. He was chained, in extreme pain, and passed out again.

He awoke to a buzz of activity, and the sound of a familiar voice.

"Meat or Slave"

It was Nox. His little brother had come to rescue him.

And so begins the story of Kaladan of clan Norixius...
