• The gang discusses how to proceed. Suggestions range from securing the partnership of Escher and potentially Escheron, to submitting to Ahtos and engaging his assistance against the Mindflayer, to checking what Normaad's situation is and seeing where that leads.
• Becky kicks the door into the room, points her axe, and demands to know the plan. The gang decides we're going to see Normaad.
• We head through the streets, which are a goddamn shitshow. It's quiet in the sense Ahtos isn't here actively destroying the place, but there are dead and dying and burned in the streets, kuo toa randomly stabbing, general mayhem and despair
• As the party heads down the annihilated street, a figure steps from the smoldering wreckage - a drow warrior who directly challenges Elgon Kitmus.
• Elgon enthusiastically accepts, hocking a formidable loxodon-grade loogie that hurtles through the air and buries itself directly in this upstart's eye, inspiring deep regret as Elgon invites his pals to join in the whoopin

Initiative!

• Elgon kicks off the show with a few arrows, 2 of which hit for a formidable sting. The douche responds with a hurtful comment about Elgon's people deserving their own genocide, which is fairly not cool
• The douche looses a shot that nicks Elgon
• Becky sinks a good axe hit
• Bingle conjurs the earth to fold around the douche, burying him in loose rubble and dirt
• Kal raises his gem and bursts a ray of sunlight at the drow, blinding him
• Douche angrily tries to wrest himself free of the earth, but fails, and hastily looses a crossbow bolt that hits nothing
• The dark elf regains the clarity of his vision, but Arden mocks him mercilessly taking the wind out of his aggression
• Becky sinks in an axe hit, while Bingle solidifies the earth around him
• Elgon is basically having the time of his life. Cackling maniacally, Elgon steps up and super-stabs the immobilized chump for a fuck-ton of damage
• The baddie manages to wrestle himself free to the point where he can get a couple of scimitar swings out, grazing Elgon with one of them
• Arden gets annoyed and looses an arrow, burying itself in one of the bad dude's extremities
• Becky takes a couple of axe swings, but manages to miss with both
• Bingle gets a little dark, whispering the name of our departed Tingle as we watch life literally ripped from the Drow's soul
• This guy tries to sound touch but whiffs horribly, and the sound of Elgon's laughter is starting to strain the ears
• Arden looses another arrow and it sinks true. Becky follows up with an axe hit, bringing the Drow low
• Bingle graciously offers Elgon the satisfaction
• Elgon torso's his axe, wraps his trunk around the challenger's head, and laughs in his ear as he pulls him closer, driving the blade through his chest. As the Drow's ribcage splits around Elgon's justice, he gurgles "House... Dreth... sends it regards". Elgon drowns the sounds of his death in laughter

• The gang proceeds towards the Embrace, and as we get closer the damage gets significantly heavier and more recent
• There seems to be some kind of organized hubbub of general citizenry
• Those are hospital folks
• Arden spots and recognized Hedelka. We catch up quickly, and we conclude that some of what Hedelka is saying fits in with the biomagicks we saw in the dead Nellulon scientist journal among the Dreth
• Hedelka says she could really use our help, but we're insistent we have to move on. Arden takes a moment and hands to Hedelka the Stone Of Good Luck, telling her we're confident she can do the best that can be done
• We move along toward The Embrace. As we approach, we find a group of hulking Goliath approaching, with carriers on their back full of Kuo Toa

Initiative!

• Kal immediately massively grows in size. Giant Kal strides forward
• Elgon opens up with a pile of arrow damage on one of the Goliath
• Goliath spears fly. A couple hit giant Kal
• Arden looses a solid arrow hit on the Goliath carrying the fish
• Giant Kal steps up and crunches an axe into one of the Goliath, but catches sight of a few more baddies on the roof. He immediately whips around and blazes the sunlight prism at a few foes, blinding a couple of them
• Bingle brings the fuckin heat and lays a fireball into the fray. Everybody fails. Juicers and fish are roasted. It smells awesome and terrible. Multiple enemies are no more. Bingle isn't done, and now hurls a Frost Bolt to the unlucky survivors, and they are not happy about it
• Elgon leaps to a rooftop and makes his presence known
• Arden hucks some inspo at Elgon on the roof, and throws some faerie fire at the two remaining Goliath
• A Goliath hits a button on his chest, perks up even more and throws some attacks at Kal. One hits, overall not impressive. Kal ripostes for a mighty hit
• Roof arrows sail past Bingle and Kal with no purchase
• Kal takes exception, and retorts with a clean beheading, so as not to damage the corpse excessively for loot purposes. He swings again at the other Goliath, with crushing effect just barely within survivable measure
• Bingle whispers viciously and saps the last wisps of life from the remaining Goliath
• Elgon's justice delivers on the rooftop as he sinks his Frostbrand to terminal effect in a first, then a second strike through the face of the second
• Becky hucks an axe to the other roof, punishing another Drow. Arden's following arrow downing yet another inspires the rest to flee.

• As the party resumes the journey toward the Embrace, the ground starts to become thick with a half foot or more carpet of ash
• Some onlookers take note of Arden clearing ash with prestidigitation, the attention causing him to cool it a little
• The party approaches what seems to be the wreckage of what used to be The Embrace, now an obliterated pile of ash and ruin. Exploring some of the residual structure, we find what used to be the office structure, and wriggle our way in.
• Elgon's sword accidentally scrapes the entrance as they go in, but then he heard something when that happened, and calls up the group's attention.
• As he further explores, Elgon finds a hairline seam with a fine line of disturbed dust by a crack in the wall
• Arden checks it out and identifies a keyword catch that splits a small opening. The party wriggles through and finds a room covered in heavily protective runes, which barely seem to have held. Inside there is a bed, and pinned under wreckage in this bed is Normaad
• We question him, and with his dying breaths he laughs at us for thinking Ahtos is still a threat. He croaks out "have to stop... him... he's.... pulling all the strings". As he fades away, he mentions "say hi to Ahtos on your way out"
• As we make our way out, Elgon discovers an Ahtos-shaped silouette in the ash pile that seems to indicate Ahtos exploded and this was the aftermath. We approach the concentration of bodies and determine Autorus made a stand here, and now most of them are dead... potentially also Ahtos
• The gang discusses the finers and decides the next step is to head to the Pits and see if we can connect with Brengoth and by extension Escher, to see about their involvement with the Dreth and their role in the coming of the mindflayer...
